My 1965 327
My 1965 327
I've got a 1965 .020 over 327 Chevy block, forged GM crank, stock GM rods, and 4.020" Sterling pistons just sitting in my garage taking up space. Anybody have a need for this stuff? I'd part with it for some cash to throw towards my 383.
Yeah, block, pistons, crank rods. Everything is GM except the pistons. The engine was an IHRA/NHRA stock class drag motor. I disassembled the bottom end when I pulled the motor out of my car due to oil consumption. The problem was definitely in the heads, so you could slap it back together with new bearings, but, since it's apart, it wouldn't hurt to at least hone it. The pistons, being IHRA/NHRA qualified, are only like 8.5:1 or something compression on some 1.94/1.50 heads (which I think are 64cc). Might not be a bad idea to stick it .030 over and put some high comp pistons in it.
