Well, I've decided to sell the Torino. It's a numbers matching, 99% original GT. The only non-stock items are the Flowmaster mufflers, alpine stereo, and flame job on the front of the car.
The engine is the original '71 351C-2V V8, with all original manifolds except the passenger side exhaust manifold which is off of a '72 Torino. It has the stock C4 transmission and rearend. This car runs strong and needs very little to be 100% mechanically sound. It also sounds amazing through the Flowmasters.
The engine needs new vacuum lines run, since they've dry rotted, and the carburetor rebuilt since the top gasket leaks. I'll include the carb kit with the sale if I haven't rebuilt it by time of purchase. The transmission is leaking slowly, I don't know from where, but has a new pan gasket and filter in it. The drums in the back also need to be serviced. The engine has new 4ga wiring, and a new starter. Since I've acquired the car I've driven it around town as I would my daily driver and it didn't give me any grief. All fluids are fresh except for the rear diff fluid.
The interior is black vinyl, black dash, black roofliner, with a front bench. There are a couple of seams starting to separate in the vinyl, and a couple of small holes in the roofliner. There is also a crack above the speedo in the dash. Car is column shift with a factory ribbon tachometer.
The body is in phenomenal shape with just about zero rust. The car is straight as an arrow. The paint on the doors is faded, and there are a couple fade spots on the roof and trunk. I have the stock GT grill in the trunk, but it'll need to be repaired. Original jack and spare tire are also in the trunk.
I'm looking for $5995/obo for this car. Trades are also welcome. Let me know if you wanna come by and take a look at it.
