what is that cotton type stuff that you put in your boxes called? i was told its supposed to make it get deeper or somthin.. is this true? and where could i get some?

 

Sure can.. changes the air density inside the box. It's called fiberfill; you can buy it by the bag at any fabric store (joanne's) or I think Wal-Mart might even have it.

My current box is way too small for it, but my last setup I had a few pounds of the stuff. definitely makes a difference in sound.

Eli, it's only meant for sealed enclosures. Wal Mart carries it though, like $4 a bag.

alright thanks... my boxes are a little so small for my subs so i was hoping if i put this in i could help compinsate for it... i cant build bigger boxes cuz my whole trunk is already custom built for it
