Default Box builders, take a look.

I need to make a box that is .5 sealed for a 10" sub. If im using 3/4 mdf what would the dimensions of that box have to be. I know you have to factor in the basket size and what not but it dosnet have to be perfect. If it helps the sub has a 100oz magnet. TIA

well, unless your sub was made by a company in syria, they've probably got a website with tech specs on your sub, including the sub's displacement.

and there's a damn near infinite number of ways you can build a half cube box, just sit down with a pencil and paper (and calculator if you don't know your times tables) and work out height x width x depth. it's not hard, i promise.

well, unfortunately it's impossible for me to throw anything out but completely arbitrary numbers because you haven't posted up how much actual space you've got to work with in your trunk, if there's any design limitations (i.e. can't be taller than 12 inches, has to fit in your spare tire well, or something similar) what the mounting depth of your sub is, etc. etc. there's entirely too many variables chief.

height x width x length = ? / 1728 = cubic square ft.

And what 10" sub with a 100oz. magnet only requires .5 cubic ft.???

just make it 12" by 12" by 8" and you'll be good. it's about 0.53 ft^3 internal volume, so after displacement, it shouold be a little under half a cube. just throw some polyfill in before the sub goes in there, and it'll help.

.5 is to small. Mine says to use .5-.8 and there close to .5.... I had to throw in a ton of polly fill to get a decent sound out of them

The specs say. 5 seal or .8 ported. I guess I could make the box 12"x12"x10" and then add pollyfill until I like how it sounds. Thanks for the advice.
