Chad (the owher of ascendant) is waiting on his last shipment of subs that are going to have XBL2 motors in them. My name is on an Avalanche 15. So its not in my car yet, but my buddy has the same sub off a Directed 600 watt amp, in a maxima. He folded the back seat down (and even though he has his amp rack blocking the pass-through) he hit a 139.3. So with that amp rack moved hed hit 140. Not bad for 600 watts, its ported at 35 hz and sounds damn good.

really? I would have expected more output from that sub. I've hear of single 16Ov.2s hitting mid 140s in ported boxes with around 1k watts. maybe more power will yield a higher spl number.

that was on 600 watts in a trunk car, doubling that power (what im doing) will be much better. Ov2's have shitty low end, and eD are some shady ass mofos. Good amps, because theyre mainly old Kicker amps, but still shady people.

ya, a lot of people have mixed opinions on ED, but I haven't had any problems so far with them. They defenitely have one of the best customer service in the industry, just try giving Image Dynamics or RE a call, then call up ED. completely different.

+1 some people have problems some dont. All I know is Ive read enough first hand horror stories to tarnish their name forever in my book.

It's like how I hate Image Dynamics because it took them 2 months to recone my 12" IDMAX, and they didn't call me once, charged me 95 dollars, and sent me back the wrong ohm configuration.
