If all you're worried about is being "loud"...go with a vented enclosure. If you actually care about also sounding good, then a sealed box is the way to go. Vented boxes are tuned to a frequency specifically for the subs you're putting in them, therefore it's going to sound awesome at the one frequency....but more sloppy at all other frequencies. A sealed box will play more cleanly through a much wider range of frequencies and provides the best sound quality. Regardless, L7's require a ton of airspace in either application...although sealed would be the lesser of the two. If trunk space is an issue for you, it might be a better idea to go with a single L7 instead of both. A single L7 in the required airspace would actually sound better than 2 in a smaller box.
