Alpine makes more than one class d amp....mrd-m605? mrd-m1005?
Are your subs 10s? 12s?
What other equipment are you running, and how clean of a signal from the deck will you be sending it.

Alpine amps are AWESOME for power. they definitely meet or exceed their rated output. But if you are putting a 2v signal to it you might not get teh SQ you want because they run in the 80s on sensitivity.

We put a 9855 to a 1005 and it sounded great.
Ive also put a 605 to a panasonic cq3001 and it didnt hit very clean but it was loud.

i have 2 JL w3 10" woofers and i was thinking about the alpine 7995 or the 9855. i might end up getting the 9855, but would the mrd-m605 be enough or will i need to get the mrd-m1005 to push them.

thanks for the info guys

alpine mrd-m605 is more than enough for your 2 JL w3 10" woofers
