its weighted aluminum foil, meant primarily to stop lighter paneling and sheet metal from resonating. It does that quite well. It also dampens sound so theres a little less cancelation as well.

Why are you always bashing brand names and products? Go take some pictures and make some usefull or at least non-trolling threads.

brand names like eclipse, because they used to be reputible before there titanium journey, why is it they cant make an entry level sub, that jams??im sorry i respect companies more that are affordable cause as an everyday person thats all you can afford.companies like american bass entry level subs for 80,even kicker comps even tho not the best are affordable.just because a sub cost more money means nothing.a mmats pro sub will hang with a titanium, and its only about 199 each.an oxygen audio sub will hang with a titanium and those are 175, so why are titanium so great. and i dont do this to wreck threads i do this to get you guys to really think about it.

not all hobbies are cheap dude.

and as for the fact that certain subs will 'be on par' with others more expensive, thats just luck in actuality, luck that you happened to find a product a little cheaper but has generally the same abilities. I bet it doesnt have the warranty or support eclipse would have, and i bet if it wasnt wired as good it'd sound worse.

Are you living in your own fantasy world or what? Just like with most things in life you'll find something cheaper thats on par with a higher brand name. stupid example - my cheap 950 dollar Acer laptop is pretty much on par (some things better some things worse, by only small degrees) as my mom's 1400 dollar presario.

Give it a rest dude, we know you like complaining about the dumbest things, but its about time you grew up and learned to talk about things like an adult, with some sort of better communicating ability rather than your "i am completely against expensive brand names because they're more expensive than everyone else, its total bullshit"... and unfortunately not in so few words..

Look you sack of shit, dont dictate what my life is or try to tell others who i am.

Its not necessarily that more money always equals better quality, but dont you think that if you're going to spend 6 grand on a 99 civic rather than 10 on a 99 acura TL there wouldnt be a wee bit difference in quality? i mean maybe?

I dont have any real high "brand name" components in my car, no JL, no fosgate, no eclipse.. I get what sounds good to me. I'm happy with the few dollars i've scrapped up together to buy what i have now.

If you werent such a dick about everything to everyone, maybe we could see you more as a knowledgable person to turn to rather than question and argue with.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

Wow my post got REALLY off topic lmao...well anyway...Eclipse does have VERY good product support as does Kicker. I would spend the money on Kickers entry level subs before I spent any money on Eclipse. Now if we are talking about high level speakers...if I had the money I would love to have a pair of 12" titanium series subs from Eclipse. IMHO I think they have VERY good SQ! If I wanted to rattle the shit out of my stuff then I would go with some 18" titaniums or 15" L7's. The Solo X is way over priced for what it does and so is the MTX jackhammer. Another good sub is the MTX 7500 series. I think they sound pretty good when put in a ported box tuned to around 33 Hz. This is just my 2 cents.

Damn IBTL

Scrapin where were you yesterday hmmmm? I think one of your friends 352customz came out, we were really impressed with that 128db 12" OXYGEN sub he demoed. it *almost* hit as hard as TBspyders stock system

As a dealer, shouldnt you be out at the meets trying to get some kind of reputation for knowing what you talk about? All your posts that "make us think" just make me think you have nothing better to do than troll an online forum because when it comes that time of month to back it up, YOU ARE NOWHERE TO BE FOUND.
