Whats the diffrence (pros cons) of Componet speakers and Full Range speakers.

 

Component pros: Better SQ & SPL. Crisper highs, deeper mid bass. Freedom of tweeter placement allows for better imaging. Capable of handling more wattage.

Component cons: Usually requires amplified signal. More parts....need to find a good location for both the x-over and the tweeter. Usually more expensive.





Full Range pros: Compact and simple. Usually requires smaller amount of power, therefore many can be run off deck power. Usually cheaper.

Full Range cons: Less SQ and SPL. Incapable of supporting higher wattage amps.
