Whether you are looking to quiet down your street rod, or make your daily driver comfortable as a luxury car, Damplifier Pro is the strongest, most resiliant vibration damper on the market.

Here is a Quick lesson:
The majority of reducible noise in any car is structure borne, meaning it comes from vibrations, like a wind chime. Unlike wind chimes however, our cars are not tuned to any specific musical frequency, so what we end up hearing is the road noise, engine rumble and exhaust drone.

Stopping the vibrations on your cars metal panels is much like stopping a noisy wind chime with your hand. Once the vibrations stop, the noise stops.

Traditional noise mats are mostly inefficient mass loaders; heavy & foul smelling tar boards that work by adding weight to the cars metal to quiet it down.

Damplifier Pro is not a mass loader. It is a constraint layer damper that converts the vibrational enery in to low level heat. This conversion of energy makes it 300% more efficient than mass loaders while weighing much less.

Specifications:
Target Thickness 75-80 mils(.075" - .085" / 1.95- 2.03 mm)
Target Mass/Area .5 lbs/Sq.Ft.(2.2 kg/m²)
Heat Tolerance 500 °F(260 °C)
Sheets Size 12" x 20"(30.48 x 51) *Sheet size may be replaced with 18" x 32"

i used second skin deamplifier pro for my car. The exahaust was stupid loud and I hated it. So we coverd the whole interior with second skin deamplifier pro and the base matt from them. I kinda regret it now because of the wieght but it made shit livable and much quieter than before. My wife loved it.

Yeah thats all bullshit. I've used Damplifier sheets. You have to use a ton of it to get results. That BS converting to heat is pure crap.

You got road noise? Get better tires. Your panels rattle? Use felt lining.

There are times and places for dampener but its not the universal cure to all things noise.

Maybe you should get more experience before you post nub.

stop editing my shit before i ban u

If you have to make cliffnotes for your audience, you don't expect much from them already, so stop getting irritated when they say something stupid.

Especially whenever you're cliffnoting notes that aren't even that long in the first place.

LOGIC? You seriously want to invoke logic in a conversation about fake hijackings, missiles hitting the pentagon, and bombs planted throughout the world trade center? I thought it was a given that logic was checked at the door when entering one of these threads.

I added the cliffnotes afterward.

So far, NoTLaDStyle has been the only helpful poster in this thread, even if he was a dick about it. The thing is, my car is quiet as shit already...I'm just trying to get it silent.

I can't think of any other reasons. it's one of those things you kind of are screwed with unless you're an installer or you have many different cars.
Oh I'm sorry I didn't realize I tried to help even though this is a tough subject to talk about.

Ive heard that using a couple layers of Second Skin Damplifier and then a couple layers of Second Skin Sludge over top of that works great.
