well usually a good stereo shop will let you use the db meter for free because they have confidence in there work....now what it sounds like is that shop basically charged you money to turn there meter on and display some bookoo ass numbers to make you happy

whats everyones setup here??? lol mine is garbage 3 audiopipe 15's in a ported 10 cubic foot wall tuned to 36 hrtz on a DHD 1200 ( i know i need way more power for them only running 150 RMS to each 15 ) still working on it but im in the middle of switching to 6 12's

mine? as of RIGHT now,, its 2 mtx blue thunders (svc 4ohm, wired 2ohm) on a audiopipe 800watt (rms @ 1 ohm) mono block, audiopipe 1 farad cap, all audiopipe 4 gauge wiring.
i change out the subs to sub,, sometimes.. to a audiopipe txx-ap10 eyecandy(dvc 4 ohms wired to 2 ohms) all boxes are ported.
on a pioneer premier HU, with eclipse 2 ways in the front doors and cheap tweets in the dash all running off the HU factory pos speaks in the back door.
changing it out a lil soon, gonna add a 4 channel audiopipe amp (to run my mids and highs), may loose the cap.. but im also adding a kinetic cell in the boot.. may go to RE subs.. may not.. dunno.. my boy just became a JL dealer.. but im loyal to audiopipe.. they have always done me right,.

my jeep consisted of 2 JL 13W7's in a ported box with a JL 1000/1 on each sub..for highs i had 2 sets of JL XR components in the front(2 speakers in each panel and then the 2 tweeters in the pillars) and a JL e4300 4 channel amp on those with another set of XR's in the back doors as well as a set in the rear tailgate thing running off another e4300...ummm i had an optima yellowtop under the hood as well as one in the trunk with a JL capacitor and an ecplise c5000 head unit...
