Default DLS Speakers?

Has anyone hear ever heard of DLS Electronics? We have a local rep that had come by in a Crossfire a while back that sounded really good. He showed us some of the equipment and everything was pretty nice.

Well, this weekend my general manager and I headed down to the West Palm area to a local mobile AV distributors' semi-annual electronics show. Among the regulars were the crew from DLS (not some cheap crappy Hong Kong company). The local rep that we had met before had his blue S10 show truck showcased and gave us a demo. The sound was ridiculous crisp and we were pretty impressed. We looked over their line up and the pricing is average to high-end.

What was really impressive was their home theatre line ups. They pump an amazing amount of sound out of a pair of 5.25" drivers and 1.4" tweets. Acoustic guitars sound incredible on all of their equipment.

Anyway, we were thinking of becoming the local authorized dealer for their equipment and putting some of it in our displays and some personal demo vehicles. Any feedback for those with possible experience with the line?

Excellent stuff, and pretty good pricing too. Big plus to have entry, mid, and upper level products all in one company. Plus even if you don't stock a lot of the higher end stuff, distribution is near north Miami which means you get products quickly.

Without knowing what else you currently carry, I say do it.

I made the tint thread in your forum...I still need to come get it done, just been broke recently. Hopefully within a month or so I'll be caught up.

Eddie Dejesus is the rep your talking about with the Blue S10. He's an awesome guy and a veteran in the audio world and a personal friend. He recently beat out Mark Eldridge at the Car Audio Nationals (Atlanta) in late september.

DLS is a really good quality company. Plenty of theyre speakers have been run in SQ cars over the years. By people such as Steve Head. If your anyone in the audio world then you have heard of this man. He used to run AudioNutz here in ocala. A very well respected person in the audio industry.

I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a SQ setup.

I have most definately heard of DLS I was just seeing what kind of market/interest there might be locally. It is getting harder to convince customers (especially in this wonderful economy) that it is worth the extra $$$ for high quality stuff. We may give them a run before Christmas to see what kind of interest we get. Thanks for the opinions...

Not sure about "complimentary" but we may run a "just over cost" holiday special if we bring them in just to get some systems out there quickly. We are definately redoing one of my guys' Super Duty with DLS components in the next few weeks so we have a rolling demo (and because he was really impressed with the S10 sound). I really like the fact that their line-up isn't overly "whored out" like almost everything else 12 volt these days...

If AA had carried DLS when I was down there, I'd have picked up the line. I was approached direct, a couple years ago, but the buy in was prohibitive.

You gonna run theyre amps as well? Or you have another idea for that?

In that S10, He's running a pretty sick setup. I forget what power he's using. That Pioneer headunit thats in it is one straight from japan though ($800). It uses fiber optics instead of the normal RCA Cables. I think it runs in to a Pioneer/Premier Sound Processor and then to the amps.
