Looks great! I was gonna suggest heating the rod and bending it to the shape of the lense, but you've already got that in the plan.... I think once you do that and back (paint) the rear of the rod, it will help seperate the white and green alittle more (the white will be projected out of the lense only instead of hitting the lense and reflecting back into the green area).

Thats the crazy thing, I did back it with poster board. I cant think of a way to stop the light from reflecting off the front lens without compromising light output.

IMO, I would hook it up to the parking or fog lights. If you wanted to be able to use it at shows or something, maybe piggy back it to a toggle switch as well. I would think that the light bar blinking w/the turn signals may be distracting or worse - confusing - to oncoming drivers/traffic.

And I also agree that the Audi lights are SICK!

Good luck w/the Finals bro!! Let us know how the project turns out!!

Once you bend it so that it sits directly against the lense, it should project through the lense instead of reflecting off of it.

I would paint the back half (or more torwards the top) of the rod to keep the LEDs shining forward. If you used white paint it would be alot less noticeable and would seperate and project the LED light forward.

I have some white gloss armorall handy, I think I will tape off the front and half of the top and give it a spray to see if it improves the separation...

I'm also going to try three green LEDs rather than two.. I would do like 5 but I only have 6 left and I don't feel like spending more $ on an afterthought.

First I gotta find a amp for my mids, it sounds so bad I was tempted to call into work so I didn't have to drive with it...
