Default Dynamat weight?

How much does Dynamat or some of the other sound dampeners weigh enough to cover the inside of a 96 Honda Civic Coupe?

should say on the boxes depending on which one packet you get. You would be better off buying the bulk pack. Its pricey but does save you money by not buying multiple smaller kits.

Would dynamat help deaden the outside noises like exhaust? Thats mainly what I'm looking to do is have is a bit less noisy inside the car since highway cruising i'm at 5k RPM.

LOL @ ITR tranny. That would be annoying to daily, I couldnt imagine taking the CRX on an extended trip. I believe dynamat would keep sound out. Are you still using a resonator on your exhaust?

Right now it is almost open header. So yeah its really loud but even after thats fixed and the exhaust is actually coming out of the muffler portion its still going to be a bit loud 2.5" from collector to muffler tip. So I plan on trying to dampen some of that to make it less noticable inside the car. I love DDing the R lol but almost open header @ 5k for hour trips is pretty annoying lol

I'll check that stuff out, thanks. Another question how do I know how much I need?

There is always going tp be something that seems better. Dynomat cost what it cost because it works. I still have yet to finish my rsx but just by adding 2 sheets on the bottom trunk it did help with the exhaust noise. Your not going to get rid of it all so it would be wise to add a resonator or even muffler.

When doing highway trips alot of cars leak road noise though the doors.

I'm eventually going to buy the bulk pack and do the roof, doors and finish the entire trunk.
good luck!

Yeah it will have a resonated test pipe, resonator on the B piping and the muffler. But its all 2.5" in and out from the header collector to the end of the exhaust tip.

We sell both Dynamat and Stingers Road Kill. Mainly sell the Road Kill over the counter because it is set up well in shared_user friendly packs like license plate kits, door kits, trunk kits, headliner kits, etc. The pricing is a little cheaper too. Used tons of it though and it all works well.

As far as weight, you can come in and hold a trunk kit for yourself if you want. Weight may even be on the box bit we would have to see tomorrow. Weight gain will be negligable however compared to quality of ride due to the noise dampening I would think however.

BTW I forgot to follow up on my alarm install of the Viper 5901 I believe it was. Did you move to your new location yet? I would probably end up having you install the dampening at the same time along with a new headliner or something. I'll stop back in to get some prices and set something up. I figure it would be easier for you to do it all at once rather than pull apart my car a few times.
