Default Words coming through subs--help--

Got an old school ZR600 kicker amp mono to 2-kicker 10's.... Amp has the x-over module built in and I have it set to low pass. Phoenix gold amp install kit and pioneer head unit (just a basic install).

PROBLEM--- Getting words coming through the subs! They hit and sound good most of the time but occasionally there are words coming through.

Any help would be great. THX

Oh, I also had this same setup hooked up to 2 solo-baric 12's and this issue was not present then...

Look for a setting on your amp called "crossover", "x-over" or "LPF" and adjust to the appropriate setting. Generally, it's 80hz for 12"s and around 60hz-70hz for 15"s. If you don't have this setting, you may be able to find it in your headunit in your sub-out settings.

The amp has a removalbe x-over module which i do have set correctly at low-pass. You can not further adjust, just has low-pass, high-pass, and by-pass. Think I am just ganna add an inline x-over before the amp. THX for the help.

If you are getting words coming through on your subs than your built in crossovers on your amp is going out.
