Rattle from the back deck
Rattle from the back deck
So I have a current small setup with 1 12" L5 in Kicker vented box and Kenwood amp wired at 1 ohm...at 12 volts probably getting close to 600 RMS (rated at 600 at 2 ohms)...the only thing that drives me up the wall is the rattle from the deck lid that separates the trunk and the interior (car is 2007 Camry)...at some notes, when air is pushed, the rattle takes away from the enjoyable experience. I removed the back seats and stuffed some insulation under the plastic deck that covers the rear speakers and it did work for a little while but the rattle is back. Dynamat may be a solution but I have heard that an injected foam may help better.
What did you do when faced with similar issue? Thanks TR.

i wouldnt face them forward. Its obvious your slamming hard. Dynomat or something similar is the best option. Once you do that make sure your actual deck lid is tight to the metal. You might need to put some velcro under it to attach it to the metal or wort case put a screw in it.
Dont do the foam stuff. Its messy, ghetto, looks like shit, and permanent.
With dynomat you wont see it and will actually benifit even if you take the system out.
way to go on yourslamming sytem
