I hit 138dbs on one 12 Image dynamics IDMax 12 with 1400 watts going to it. That is without rear fill (usually ups the dbs a bit) and the sub sounds amazing all the way down to 10 hz. Not to mention bmws have serious issues getting sound in the cabin because of how well the trunk is sealed off.

One 12 is all you need.

 

^^ If you are picking up down to 10hz strong, I doubt you are getting anything above 40-45 very well.

this. hell haven't been in it for too long and ready to go back.. Its sucks cause I love it LOUD every once in awhile and the rest sound good.. So I crank the btl up every now and then and turn it down and let the xs65s do the rest

I was going to mention that in my post... if you got some bad ass mids you would be fine

multiple 12s have a different sound that 1. more is better imo

 

I got a single 12 in a box that just needs about 3kw to hook up to and I will guarantee it will change your mind. And probably shred your car apart pretty quick.
