Default Best speakers to replace oem

I have a 21 year old car (nissan 240sx). I just threw a stereo in it and needless to say the speakers sound like shit. I would like to replace all 4 of them....but with what?

it just has a decent aftermarket radio/cd in it now but I'd like to expand to a 2/12 box/amp in the future, if that affects the decision.

Give me a call on Monday. I have an absolutely unbelievable "inventory reduction sale" going on during next week only and only on JL Audio Products. You absolutely will not believe this pricing. I cannot even advertise the pricing it is so low. This sale is no joke. Many people will be able to afford JL Audio equipment before will be able to next week. Everything is of course brand new, fully warrantied, and we will even take preorders if we don't have it in stock. See your PM!

ok so I found out my car uses:
2--4x6, and
2--6.5 speakers

I don't know anything about car audio so,
1) what brands give the most bang/buck? I'm not looking to spend a whole lot of money, like <$100 on 4 speakers.
2) will it be necessary to completely rewire the door/rear speakers to get the best performance or should I just reuse the original factory speaker wiring?

I might have some options for you this week with JL Audio stuff. I know that I also have some JVC on blowout this week too that would fit the bill..

vs old stock just about any audio name brand is going to sound better.

JL is one of my favorites and if Matt has a sale on them going it worth giving him a call.

Damn near! Sale is over now though. We moved over $13k in inventory in a week. Goal was only $7k. At least 6 TR members came through between Friday and Saturday and loaded up. It was a good sale.

Cool thing is, we still have some of the TMA amps and speakers left on discontinue blowout (we had bought all of JLs remaining stock of these a few months back). They are also discontinuing the G series of amps so we are authorized to clearance them out with in-store promos as cheap as we want.

So there are still some "crackhead-priced" specials left until they are gone. With tax refund dollars in the air though I don't see any clearance stuff sticking around for long.
