build.
that picture was just a machup, this box has to built in the car, ever piece cut and fit, from that picture it still had to completly come out of the car so the 2 6" aero ports to be cut thru rear deck, as of now it is done, yes all corners are reinforece with 2x2, siliconed and installed, as to the jagged edge, well it a compound miter cut and had to be timmed to fit that double baffled panel, it was cleaned up nice and striaght, i still have to do cosmetics (fleece, glass, and carpet) and build floating amp rack for the 2 3k mono amps. i have 14 hours in rewiring this 30 speaker install, carputer, radio, 8 cross overs, 2 4 channel amps, head unit, lcd screen in dash, then the time it took to fit 2 6" aero ports, their opening size is 9", box fit, installed glued, screwed, siliconed, customer needed the car for a trip, will be back in 2 weeks to finish, at least he had mids.highs playing. CANDYPANTS when you have a build equal to this please post your inprogress pictures
how are you suppose to hold together and take apart, each panel probable came in/out of the car 10+ time to fit it and panels around it. screwing a box together is fine, if you predrill your holes with counter sink, you wont spit the wood, the screws or nails are there until wood glue dries, they do the same as clamps. i prefer finish nails, you disturb the wood less, and i think they are stronger, as i have ripped apart many screwed boxs with ease and nails hold like a crack hore on a rock.

complete night and day. I kinda wish i woulda thought of that trunk cutting trick on a few builds. lol BTW absolutly nothinh wrong with with the corner bracing. This is a business and there is no point other than to stroke your ego in cutting 45s. The 2x2s are just as strong and way quicker and cheaper for customer. Not to mention they are usually never seen!Im not trying to bash cande but grade A is way further along in his skills. If you were smart you would ask questions and learn some tricks rather than bash

Not to be a dick, but dude you cant even design and build a bandpass by yourself. While I have ran a retail shop that employs 6 full time installers. And you ask how the ties in? Because I did alot of the box design. Also did a decent amount of builds while there. We all have our place in the industry and I will admit I am not the most technical here, but I am smart enough to learn from the guys that are ( or smart enough to hire them and let them do it while enjoying a cool beverage from the A/C) All im sayin is I wouldnt bash grade A about building boxes and I have probably built a good amount more boxes than you. But I could be wrong you could be the most producing box builder in Fl. ( somehow I doubt that). Dude I give you an E for effort. And I believe you have to have confidence in yourself but Im also a realist. You are way outta control. Ive seen your build post and I respect 1stGen alot more at this point. At least he listens to the voice of reason. And Im sure you are going to label me as one of your HATERS and try to bash me. To be honest I DONT GIVE A FUCK ! Im sure there are plenty of people on this site that dont even like me but would agree.

i dont care how many boxes you've designed if you think that 2x2's are the same thing as 45's i'd like to put one of my boxes up against yours (since obviously you dont design them with 45's in the corners) and see which box picks up the win on the meter.
so tell me what not being able to design a bandpass(at this moment in time still doing research on proper design) has to do with knowing the science of sound and how 45's help acoustics of a box...or how you just compared "2x2's" to 45s and saying they are the same thing.

i'll take that bet. i've got a couple of identical 10" subs here. you can run them off about 200 rms. im willing to donate 2 of them. you design and build a box (not have someone else do it like you are now, and have done in the past) and i'll do the same. then we can drop them in your cheater car one by one, and see who gets more numbers.
That'd be some cool shit.
