in some cases, if he jus wants to sell it it may not be worth it idk what kind of sub it is. if he wanted to use it id say rebuild it, maybe a lil beefier

i have a rockford T2 10 with a blown voice coil
alpint type r 12 needs reconed
JL W3v2 12 needs new surround
Memphis Audio 15 needs reconed
DUAL amp wont turn on
JL W3v2 8 needs new surround
thats just off the top of my head... I'm sure I have more

i dont think you are going to get what you would have to put into reconing those if possible, but if u want to i can try and get you in touch with someone who can do it

The JLs have to be sent out by an authorized JL dealer which we can do for you. But, usually you will find that with the TR member discount you will get on new ones, the repairs really won't be worth it. Other than the W7s and maybe W6s, most JL subs aren't worth getting repaired when you can buy them for a good price brand new.

although i didnt know about any tr discounts. lol.
and as for the alpine type r, idk if they even make recones, but if they do, i cant see how it would be worth it unless the recone was for like 15-20 bucks...
