I appreciate the effort, but it's not the e-brake ground. And my harness doesn't have room for a repin of the wire. The audio menu is inaccessible.

I found the hideaway under the passenger seat and it's properly wired and grounded. I noticed something else really strange... If I power off the whole unit, and try to go into a.menu > audio. It's also grayed out as it is under CD/DVD.

I think i'm going to set this on fire...

Call Pioneer tech support. Tell them the brake is properly grounded and you are sitting in park. Audio has nothing to do with the bypass. Never seen the audio menu grayed out. They'll have the answer.

I'm going to bet that it is setup to work with an external processor. I believe that is a 5.1 unit, and probably has a dedicated optical output, which would go to a 5.1 box, where all your audio controls would be. Optical outs have no volume control, etc.

In one of the setting menus, there is probably a way to turn this off. This is why it only effects CD and DVD, and why the audio choices are greyed out.

In going to try to call pioneer today. I thought about the optical wire but didn't see it on the rear of the deck or hideaway.

I'm almost ready to trade it for something else.

Pioneer didn't even know... Suggested local repair.

Since AUX, tuner and tv still work I think I'm gonna trade it as is for a basic deck.

Just sucks balls because its a $2k unit.

Did you try a hard reset push and hold the reset button for 10 secs or unplug the power harness for 5 mins this should be back to factory settings
