This car was built within the rules of SCCA ITA, which do not allow for motor swaps. If you think $5,500 is alot for a competitive ITA race car I invite you to look around on racing junk or similar for sale forums. This is not a GIS Friday night special.
I wish I could buy and get into road racing with your CRX.
People don't understand all the safety items that have to be built into the car to be able to run and that basically it is a very long way from being street legal. If I hear of anyone looking I'll refer them this way.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

It's always nice to see someone on here who actually understands what it takes to get involved in racing. This car is a blast to drive and is actually the car that got me started in road racing.
