JAC Autocross Timer FS
JAC Autocross Timer FS
Just putting this out to see if any of the local clubs (or even individuals) are interested before presenting it to a larger National-level audience.
FAST has upgraded to a new wireless timing system. We're still working out the kinks, but the timing hardware itself has proven to be very reliable, so we'll be ready to sell our old JAC system soon.
This is a complete "Second Generation" JAC autocross timing system. The JAC box was purchased new in about 2003 and has always worked flawlessly. JAC has been the standard for autocross timing for about the past 20 years, and is in use by a majority of autocross clubs around the US.
What's included?
JAC Timer box
Nice plastic case for timer and accessories
PC interface cable (sorry, software not included)
AC power cable
Internal battery (good for 8+ hours, they say)
Three sets of photo eyes with two custom stands
Three photo head batteries
Lots of timer cables (at least 3-4 sections of 200+ feet)
Manuals
Hands-on setup tutorial
Perfect for a start-up motorsports club, or just a rich guy who wants to be able to set up his own test & tune events.
The price? $500.

That seems a mighty fair deal... and very tempting... if my funds weren't otherwise accounted for. Maybe a few of us could co-own it?

That's how clubs get started.
Seriously, as long as you don't put the photoheads in direct dust/dirt that could trip false times, this would work fine for rallycross. A few successful events would generate enough income to pay for it.

we've actually used this unit for a previous rallycross. it worked but not without issue actually I had to buy two new photoheads for FAST due to a driver trying to take me and the lights out in one spin.
Bumping for local sale. We'll consider reasonable offers. Spread the word around the area, I know there are some "silent" clubs out there that do their own events sometimes, let 'em know.
