F/S (4) Grand-Am (Conti Challenge) tires 225-45-15
I'm trying to figure out if I can get these to clear on a 15x8 wheel or how much back spacing I will need. It gets close on both suspension and fender sides with an 8" wide 225 setup.
I ran them on 15x7 with a 32 offset and they were fine.
What is the off set on your 15x8's? and It'll depend on spring weight, camber, fenders .....
Here's a pic of 15x8 et 36, 225-45-15's and 2.6 deg of negative camber.

I see you posted these on Honda-tech as well. I don't have set of 15" wheels yet but I am looking to get 15x8 +30 TRM wheels. Not sure how much fender rolling and pulling will be needed and considering these are a real race tire I may need to really up my spring rates.
There are a lot of things to consider like, spring weight (I ran 12k/10k), brake pads and driver experience.
Also, Hoosier R6's run wider than 225 - these are essentially the same tire,so they probably also run wide.
Are you dead set on the 15x8? Tire Rack has a set of 15x7 30 et that would be perfect and they weigh 13 lbs,
compared to the 15x8 at 15 lbs
Are you planning on running track events?

Yeah I would like to start doing HPDE and such. 12k/10k is somewhere around 650/550 correct? I am planning on something more like 500/450 considering it isn't a full dedicated track car.
