just for reference for those who didn't go...it was a WIDE open course. So pax indexes for this event aren't totally accurate, even compared to their normal lack of accuracy.

I may figure that stuff out this weekend. I have to take the 8mm and burn it on a DVD ROM and then find some free server space to upload it to. You'll like that last run. You can clearly see the tach. & speedo (at least on a TV). Other than a little slide 'n bog in the last 90*R, it was damn near perfect (and I see it held up as pax FTD). I'll let you know when & where it's up. I have a feeling that I'll have to do it one run at a time, for lack of computer memory.
I didn't lack torque, I lacked balls. I was "launching" at 4K (didn't want to blow your diff.), and barely got a wiggle all day. It's no coincidence that I bogged every start, never went O/C, and didn't take a single cone. I was too careful and am lucky to come away 4th...I have a long way to go to be competitive with the likes of you/Sipe/etc. At least on the local level I only need a few thousand more dollars and a half second more skill. I'm bummed that a lot of the good BS drivers are moving on just when I'm getting into it.
I wish we would have stayed to see the 4th group run. It looks like SM2 was a great class.

Looks like the usual suspects won and there wasn't much competition, but it sounds like it was alot of fun.

Hey Brian The Volvo is getting Aluminum heads and a Supercharger the day the S2000 sells. Wanna sign up for a track day with me so we can have 2 overpower wallowing animals wondering around the track.

closest i could do on short notice..... i was either floored or braking for 90% of the course. Oh wait, that's EVERY course in an ES car

I've been saying this for some time. Arron is a guy to keep your eye on in the comming year or so. he's dedicated, he's 19, and he's starting to display some times that alot of us probably wouldn't be able to touch in these cars. Arron's parents were at the state Championships and the support we showed him may help his parents to support him in this. So keep an eye on arron, if he gets his hands on a capable car he could be the next young gun from central florida.... I'm starting to see a growing trend from Central Florida! Name another state that had 3, 21 yr olds competeting at the top of their classes?
The course design was simply. figure a normal G ville autox running clockwise but enter the Infeild at the first left. Then exit the infield for the tightest turn on course to enter the Chicane. The exit the Chicane follow the big increasing radius sweeper into a 3 cone slalom (some people made it a 4 cone, No idea why) Then make another tight right into the skid pad and follow that around to form a S into the other skid pad with a tight right at the top of the 2nd skid pad into a couple of flat out offsets for the finish. Thats it. Other then the Infield section being really low in the revs the course was a hp course.
