Default Chump car Next week. Who when..

I spent this weekend building a cool suit cooler. Pretty easy.
Also got the trailer almost ready, Had to put in storage and hooks to secure the car.
So I have thurs off to do some last minute things. Like finish packing. get the cooler mounted and wired. Headlight switches have gotten worse I have some replacements. Also need to do oil change.

We are thinking about heading out at 8 am Fri. Taj.. BLack sheep when are you all heading out.
Also is it quicker to go across then go south on the toll road? It will cost extra because of the trailer. OR take 75 down and then alligator alley across?

looks like only 12 cars.. Only 1 other BMW E30.. Jims team.. I know what the Black sheep car car do. I really want to see Tajs Mustang in action.

This week is going to go by to quick..

We're looking forward to it too! We ran the Mustang for a while on Friday in Zephyrhills at the (you know where) place... Had a problem with a hose clamp but those are now replaced and reinforced so we're ready. The Escort is 99% ready...just have to take a little slop out of the shifter and repair about 6'' of exhaust pipe.
I'm heading down Friday AM with one car. The other car may leave Thursday night. I'm heading S on 75 then across the alley...

It is a light field unfortunately. Seems like there are alot of people interested in the race and the series but the date of the holiday weekend, in the summer, in Miami are a deterant. The Sebring entry list is healthier. Anyone running Roebling Road in August? We are doing two cars in Homestead, one car at Roebling then both cars at Sebring. May do both cars for LeMons in WPB.

After getting a little track time yesterday, I'm Jonesing for this race!

I'll be at your door between 7:30 and 8am Friday, Barry. Planning to just ride over with you unless you think we'll need my car there to shuttle around in.

Aaron, Rydell, Clint, and I will be heading down with our Integra. We've had no "real" testing to speak of up to this point so we are looking at this realistically as a 12-hr track day more than being competitive. We are also trying to fab up the cool suit cooler/pump between now and then. Hopefully us newbs can learn something from you Lemons/Chump veterans.

I'm assuming the track will have the lights on toward the end of the race since we still don't have functional headlights!

The registration info stated they were not required for this event even though it runs until a bit after sunset. I'll probably leave around 9-9:30 from my place in Riverview.

I think I have Loren's cell number, I'll PM you my contact info Barry.

This should be a really "easy" race aside from the endurance part. Not like the mad free-for-all of a LeMons race with 80-100 cars on track at the beginning of the race and at least 50-60 on track the rest of the time. Passing and "traffic" will likely be a pretty rare occurrence at this race, so you're right... it will feel like a long open track day.

As long as the car holds together, you're good!

Who is bringing a Welder? I will bring and engine hoist and compressor and air tools. Also gas powered cutting wheel.
But my welder is low on gas and id prefer not to have to go get the tank filled.
I also have room in the trailer for big things if you can get them to me by mid day Thurs.
There is about 4 x 8 feet of space in the trailer that isnt used, But that part of trailer isnt 100% water tight.

Also Weather report 89 deg 40% chance of isolated thunderstorm.

That reminds me... did you ever get new wiper blades for the car, Barry? Might be good if we get a little rain.

I hope that cool suit works well. 20-minute sessions up in N. Florida last weekend were pretty awful even without the full driver suit!

But... we'd have to clean the windshield to apply that!

Do you guys have any idea if we'll have covered pit stalls and/or electric in those?
