I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

Excellent. We have a group of about 10 going, mostly the usual guys with a half dozen new'ish guys that caught the disease a couple months ago. Elliott, Jeff, and I have been talking trash all week.

The FCRC charges only $40 for the day and it includes lunch. Spectators can sign up and eat for $5.

If I've never done anything like this do I have to pay for an instructor?

There are instructors on site at no cost. You can ride along with one or have them ride with you. Very easy and laid back with only one car on the course at a time. They have loaner helmets as well.
