Default Bricklin SV-1 at a local dealer... Is this Mark Lasota's doing?

No idea what this thing is doing at a local buy-here-pay-here lot, but it's there! The lot is called 3-D Motors and it's on Falkenburg Rd in the Brandon area...

If you don't know anything about the car, you can read a little about it here... Bricklin SV-1 - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia. Bricklin is a FASCINATING character with an often unbelievable story, including the founding of Subaru America (initially by importing the 360), the failed Bricklin brand, and most famously being the force behind importing the YUGO into the USA...

Anyway, here's the car. Fiberglass body, POWERED gullwing doors, a smog era V8, and an automatic transmission. According to Wikipedia there's about 1000 left in the world, and there's one on a BHPH lot in Brandon, heh.

What are they asking for it? Car dealers are rarely vintage sports car buffs. They may just see it as "an interesting old car" and have it way undervalued.

I see people out there spending money on the car to improve it … If you spend half that effort just working on your driving skills, making you and the car work together as a team, then you’ll go faster – period. To make the car go a second faster on the track takes a lot more energy and money than making yourself drive it one second faster.

It looks pretty good. I'd guess it's a $10,000 car.
I do have one parked about 50 feet from my Delorean.
(Anyone else on here have 2 different types of gull wing door cars?)

They were made in Canada, so used to see them all the time as a kid near Buffalo.
They seemed to use a parking lot near my house for temporary storage, because it was common to see about 15 of them there at a time.

360 mopar or 351 Ford. Mine has the Ford.
They are a bit heavy, but one can always add horsepower.

lol. Of COURSE you have one! Do the power doors still work?

If anyone is interested a friend of mine wrote an awesome book about Bricklin, Subaru, the Yugo, etc. It's called "Yugo: The Rise and Fall of the Worst Car in History" by Jason Vuic. Amazon.com: The Yugo: The Rise and Fall of the Worst Car in History (978080909895: Jason Vuic: Books
