Default FSF (Florida State Fairgrounds) THIS Weekend

Just a reminder to anyone in this T.R. forum, tomorrow (Sat. 7/5) is practice and Sunday (7/6) is an event. Should be quite a few runs, weather permitting. I just got back from helping Jesse set up the Saturday course. It looks to be medium speed and pretty challenging. Come play...

Sounds like fun, see you there. I'm in the white 89 Turbo Trans AM. Dont suppose there is any way I can get a copy of that course tonight, now is there?

Cool, the more the merrier. I'd expect a low turn out and many runs. Everyone I know is out of town or hosting something this weekend. I'll assume that carries throughout society. Everyone's busy for the weekend and the 4th is already over...

No, it was all on site. No maps were used or made. Jesse just goes by what looks right, he's not overly anaylitical like the guy who did 8 Lakeland courses on paper and used 1/4 of 1.

It looks like a tail-wagging day for both of us, but you and other high Hp. RWD's especially.

Dang it, I was going to go Sunday, but since I ended up starting my bathroom remodelling project last weekend (the one that I should have started a month ago and need to have finished by the end of this month) I'm going to have to skip it.

Got my fix in at the Benz thing today, though. I think I'll be okay for a little while.

You should come Loren. You'll have at least two other GOOD CS cars. And if I'm wrong and you're CSP, there will be a few good drivers in there too.

I had a good time today, and it was good to meet you, oversteer. I was happy with my best of 49.35.

Yeah, you had some good runs. That one spin (or 180) on the final slalom looked like a butt clincher. Hope you start running on a regular basis, like later today (7 1/4 hours until registration). It'll be a long day. I'm nowhere near sleeping...

Thanks, I did have some good runs I was happy with. The funny thing about that butt clincher 180 is that I finished better than I thought, given that I was sideways! It was a 52 second something run, which cracked me up. The car seemed to handle well and brake well also, I just need to update the shocks and springs, some bushing maybe also, as they are all vintage 1989. Some performance brake pads should help also, the napa generics on there now were good but not like performance friction Z pads by any means. I will be out more, I had a great time. I cant make it today, but I'll be out again at the next fairgrounds run.

Oh, and was there anyone else who had a lot harder time with traction in the afternoon session? My car was much looser when it was afternoon, perhaps the heat of the pavement made it more slick.
