Promo at work
So i am gettin a promotion/raise on the 1st and with the money I am lookin into a new R1, any comments anyone want to make?
I want it due to the sheer sexyness of it and the Hp/tq#'s
Price seems to be good. I was looking at the 1000rr cause i've been riding a 600rr for awile and i LOVE the handleing. I need bigger bike though.
All comments/Suggestions are appreciated.

Do you really have to start a thread every time you go on a ride and see a guy with no helmet on?
Does it affect you that much that some random guy 1500 miles away went and paid his own money for a 1000?

I rode my buddy's 03 gixxer 750 and it has dull akrapovic (SP) Race exhaust power commander 520 conversion. it is badass but it handles like shit.... straight line he pulls the wheel off with ease and beats me over the bridges but we went out to P@*#$@*@ Rd and he was struggling the only reason he could see me is the straight away's

gixxers are traditionally heavy, not weight wise, but hard to flick and stuff into corners. For some reason they require much more force to turn, at least compared to the almost telepathic R1 and R6. Some people like the gixxer because of that others hate it, and i know one person that wadded one by getting of an R6 and getting on a gixxer6(rider error, they handle nothing alike)

I have an 02 R1. The 04 is nothing like it, but you can definatly tell that they're related. It handles very quickly, some would say twitchy if they're not use to it. It has gobs of power everywhere. In it's stock form, it's almost as fast as mine. LOL
