sitting or standing is personal preference. I like standing better for two reasons, it looks cooler and you can see where you going.

I also prefer standing but most ppl i know find it alot easier sitting. Good luck civiccrx21 your senario sounds about right but give it more gas when letting the clucth out just be smooth with the clutch when wheeling do it as if you where taking off fast from a light and if you bring it to high just check your rear brake and it will bring you back down let me know if i can be of any other help guys . Remember just wear the proper gear and do it on a safe closed road.

2nd is harder than 1st. because u have to stand up bounce it clutch it at the same time. then cover the rear brake if u can remember it and balance. but 1st is easy roll around 6-7krpm pullin clutch rev it alittle bit and let the clutch out then keep reving higher until the front come up. if u let it go the throttle after its come up i think almost 99.7% the bike won't loop, ur forks just going to blow overtime though.
