Default how do i pop a wheelie

i heard second gear is better for doing wheelies because its alot safer the n 1st gear, somebody said to go about 15 mph and hit the clutch with a little bit of gas and it should come up smoothly is that true or is there a better way because he said if i tried to do it with 1st gear imma fly back because its too much tork...keep in mind ive never done one b4 but i want to learn!

alright here we go: 1st gear wheelies should be left to the pro's and should only be used for slow, idle rolling wheelies, otherwise yes first gear wheelies r very easy to loop over, ecspecially clutching in first. go into second gear, for a sit down wheelie scoot ur non spelling ass all the way back against the backseat accelerate around 1/4 - 1/2 throttle and when u get to about 5-6,000 RPM pop the clutch while remaining on the gas, this should bring ur front wheel off, if the wheel spins eithe rgive it less clutch of try a lower RPM, if it doesn't come up and doesn't spin use more rpm or more clutch. ALWAYS COVER YOUR REAR BRAKE B/C ITS UR OH SHIT BUTTON! no for stand-ups, personally i do not use a clutch, i do a bounce and throttle snap. go in second gear and accelerated the same as a sit down, except standing up w/ the balls of ur feet on the pegs, when u hit 5-6,000 rpm at the same time snap the throttle off and push down on the handle bars and quickly snap the throttle back to 1/2 throttle and pull back w/ ur arms and push out w/ ur feet, that should bring the wheel up, if u don't get it up try a higher RPM, if u don't get it up than work on ur technique. now if u have an older bike u may have to clutch it, it just happens b/c of wear and tear on the motor and how heavy the bike is. do the same thing except stand up, accelerate and pop the clutch at 5-6,000 RPM it may come up quick depending on how good ur clutch is and how u pop ur clutch. just remember cover ur rear brake, if it doesn't feel right just give it a tap and it will come straight back down. ALWAYS WEAR UR GEAR and do it on EMPTY ROADS! for the safety of u and everyone else. -local stunt guru

ok i have a 05 suzuki gixxer 600 and ive tried to do wheelies but when the tire goes up just a little bit i let go of the throttle, plus i will not try doing it sitting down because i feel less confortable i want to do it standing up is it easier to pull up standing up and keeping your balance?

Do you have to argue over stupid pointless shit on the Internet?
