Default Race tires?

Going full race on my kawy soon.. already ordered my race body and a few other accessories... Im looking for some other names and opinions on tires..
I have now Michelin Ppowers on there... I love them , and my buddie at cycle springs suggested the pilot race powers... complete slicks...i have heard ups and downs on them... how they slide too easily.. I have gotton a few other names i havent heard much about... throw me some options so i can research them.
thanks

Where do you plan on racing? Some organizations don't allow full slicks. I'd check on that first of all.

Depending on what kind of lap times you run, regular Pilot Powers will be good for now. Unless you trying to set lap records, just about any DOT race tire will suffice.

While you run practice sessions try various tire brands and compounds. Go with what you feel best on. There really isnt 1 do all tire. Some tires do better then others on various tarmacs.

pirelli super corsas

pilot S2's are a good choice too.

you want a soft compound to make up for your fuck ups.
over cook the corner a little just twist that head look farther through the corner and the soft compound will scrub off as much speed as necessary.

A lot of the WERA guys swear by the Bridgestone 002's.

I'm going to try those next track day. I've been hearing good things about them.

If I'm not mistaken they are coming out with another version of the standard BT002, the BT002 Pro.

For starters . im gonna start working the points on track days at jennings , ... I know how i street ride , i know i have no chicken lines what so ever ,. so imma take ie to the track... Been losing too many friends to continue riding as hard as i do open street. thanks for the opinions guys , ill look into them all
