Police Arrest Driver In Fatal Motorcycle Crash

ORLANDO, Fla. - Police arrested a teenager Wednesday following a fatal hit-and-run crash involving a motorcyclist.
It happened at the intersection of Hoffner and Conway around 3 a.m., WESH 2 News reported.
Police said the driver of a car crashed into the back of the motorcycle, and the rider was dragged about 100 feet along the roadway and died.
No witnesses to the crash were found when police arrived, but investigators said they were collecting evidence at the scene when the driver of the car involved returned.
"We had an individual come back to the scene with a relative. This is the only way we found it. At this point, we had not even left the scene yet to make any investigation other than a cursory check of the area," Florida Highway Patrol Sgt. Robert Blackwell said.
There's no word yet on the identity of those involved. The driver of the car passed a field sobriety test performed at the scene of the crash.

Good on the kid for facing his actions - bad that he ran, but I'm sure the judge will deal with him a little less harshly. I have a fear of cagers like any other cyclist, but the fact that he came back speaks highly of him.
