I crashed!!!!
I crashed!!!!
I crashed today at ozello almost at the end. I Didn't get hurt, had all my gear on. I just sprained my shoulder because thats what I landed on. Dont as me how. Lonna and Green goblin where infront and behind me so they could probably explain what they saw better than me.
How it happened...Hmm.. I really think that instead of taking the corner from the outside in. I came from the inside out. My speed was good.. My lean would have been good enough to make the corner. But about halfway through I realized that I wasn't gonna make it. Straightened up to stop but hit the grass. I dont think the grass would have been a problem if it didn't decline into some water. I looked at the water next to the grass and said FUCK IT. I let go LMAO. Hit the grass. The rear tire was in the water. The rest in some mud. I got up right away and was like ahh HELL. Went to the hospital to get checked out. I'm good. Bikes in good shape. Ran good. It was ridden from where I dumped it to the gas station at the beginning @ 19. Then to wendy's. Then when I got there from the hospital I rode it around for a second. Its muddy as fuck but the only damage is a lil 2" crack on the tail near the trunk key. My left front turn signal and mirror are gone. They were gonna be replaced anyway. on the left fairing where the signal got stuck and scrapped. I've been told a can of honda polish will make it good as new. Gonna look into gettiing a new tail and see how much to just get the whole bike resprayed. Take it to a shop and have them once over it to make sure theres no internal damage. I'm anxious to get back in the saddle as soon as my shoulder can support my fatbody
Thanks to all you guys for helping me out. Randy, Lonna, Nick, Jeremy, Steve
You guys are good people. And I really appreciate you helping me out.
lonna's got pics. They should be up soon

I still can't believe the FHP BS. Went out of his way to make a shitty situation suck even more. The local popo and EMT's were great though.
Heal up quick Ken. Let us know if you need anything else.

Yeah Ken it could have been a lot worse, glad your not hurt to bad. I missed the lady EMT but heard she was really hot. I would take that bullshit ticket to court that's completely uncalled for. And I could also ride that death trap of a road all day long. Post up if you need anything.

I was behind Ken when the incident occurred (Lonna was in front of Ken). He looked good going into the first curve of the "S" corner, but it was the second curve when it happened... and I was surprised when he went off the road as it looked like he was going to clear the corner no problem... halfway through the second curve he stood the bike up to slow down and just wasn't able to break in time... he might have made it through if he leaned it out more as we really weren't going fast? Like he said, it was probably the "line" he took coming out of the 1st curve that put him in the wrong spot for the 2nd curve.
He had what I would call a "good" fall. He went off the road, landed in some grass, shoulder first, slid into mud and if he had been going any faster, he would have landed in a "pond" and the water would have been there to help cushion the blow. All in all he managed to avoid bushes, branches, and telephone poles in the immediate area where he went down. Good stuff! No broken bones, no road rash (he was wearing a textile jacket, gloves, helmet, and jeans) just a sore shoulder and I bet he'll be riding again next weekend! LOL
Randy, Nick, Lonna and Jeremy are good people. Its good to ride with people you know you count on if you run into some mud... literally! LOL Big props go to them for taking care of the bike while Ken was at the hospital getting checked out. They even went and got their truck (about 45 minutes away one way) and transported the bike home for him
