Jason91GMGT down tonight
A very good friend of mine went down today. He was the guy that wrecked on the HF bridge. Basically, what the news reported him doing, and how he wrecked is true. From what I can tell, it sounds like he swerved hard and locked up the front tire at the same time which washed it out. His 500lbs Katana is what beat the shit out of him mostly. His head hit the ground extremely hard. The damage that happened to him is even though he had gear on his knees and hips were worn down to the bone, something gashed open his abdomen/groin area, and they had to tie off his liver. His left side of the rib cage was crushed and punctured his lung (they stopped the internal bleeding). His brain swelled to twice the normal size causing extremely dangerous fluid pressure levels in his skull. They said something about getting it below 20psi being good. However he WAS at 42psi. When I last left, he was at 17psi. For the next 72 hours his brain is going to swell and his only saving grace right now a saline solution they're treating him with, and the fact that he's bleeding (releasing the pressure) through every orifice in his head. His eyes, nose, ears, etc. Even though he's at 17psi it doesn't mean he's gonna be ok. It's still fluctuating and they're not sure if he's even going to make it through the next 3 days. Assuming he does make it through, and recovers, he's pretty much guaranteed permanent brain damage unless some sort of miracle happens. He'll be in ICU for the next week.
I'll keep you all posted as I find out more information. And btw he's a really close friend so keep all the bullshit out of this thread.
