Yes, you do need rear sets if it happens a lot.

I'm still on the stock rear sets and what I've been doing is adjusting my riding speed down a notch on the street in the corners and I try not to drag knee and toe slider simultaneously (actually I try not to drag toe slider ever). I use it as a gauge that I am probably too far over on the street.

Doing it at the track does not concern me as much since I am on DOT race tire and its more of a controlled environment.

BTW, in the video and photos I am not draggin toe slider, just knee, so maybe there in lies the solution to dragging elbow... GO FASTER, LEAN HARDER!

But as a heads up for those that may not be aware, I know lots of riders with poor form that drag their pegs all day, but never get a knee down and many of them run out of tire and low side.

Dragging peg or hardware is not a good thing and is different from dragging a toe slider while in the correct form. You should be dragging knee LONG before you get to dragging toe or hardware. Whenever someone uses dragging peg as an indication they are fast or good and can't drage knee, you now know its because they aren't using correct form/body position and are no where near as good as they say they are!

i was reading all this elbow draging stuff and thinking about just that. years ago dog bone posed up info on theirs and that why angle they are good for. true street tires were no where near race tires.

draging an elbow sounds like a lot to ask from a street tire, since its not like you even seen it much at the track.

sad to say, i'm way to tall for a sport bike. i could prob hang off enought to drag shit in a stright line if i really wanted to. it would also make for a funny ass pic.

The elbow dragging can definitely be done if you're insane enough I guess.. the two guys i've seen do it personally are out of their mind. Anyway, im pretty set on new rearsets i just need to decide which ones. I hate the feeling of dragging the boot it throws me out of my rhythm.

Thats what I'm wondering? How feasible is it on a street tire and on the street??? A few of us are really close, and since I just started giving it a shot in the last couple weeks, I'm not sure if I've peaked/reach as far as I can go, or if it can be done???

If D1NGO says the only guys doing it are out of their mind and are on street tires, not sure that I fit that bill, but only time will tell. Next time I hit the track I will probably give it a shot.

Sounds like a photo op!!!

Thanks! We are going to need it!!!

True, for those that don't know, just because you can drag knee, it is not an "automatic" that you are fast.

However, on the flip side, and its not to criticize anyone if you can't even drag knee, you are definitely not even close to fast.

Its probably really hard to tell on Florida roads, but when you take poor technic to the track or even canyons, it becomes really obvious.
