Default Keystone Motor Club meets every 3rd Saturday 16921 Gunn Hwy 33556 Odessa/Tampa/Keysto

What we did on November 21 3rd Saturday Keystone Motoring Club
Hi Bob.
Happy to post a little bit about the Keystone Motor Club and their monthly get together on the third Saturday morning (10 AM-noon or so....) Winn-Dixie, Gunn Highway and Van Dyke Road. No Dues, no requirements, You just need to be a motorhead 🙂

🙂 “thank you’s” go out to (in no particular order) Bob Vail for generally arranging things. Gen for her delicious Chili, and for a bunch of giveaways. Isabella for taking pictures. Debbie Baker for her delicious corn bread. Earl Baker, selling 50-50 tickets. Vic Piano an outstanding MC; and his donation of a big bunch of Car Magazines. And Anybody else I have overlooked,
Thanks for coming, folks.
Alan Mevorah
-------------------
Our Thanksgiving Chili Cookout on Nov. 21 was full of surprises. The WOK, the Women of Keystone, provided meaty chili and delivered hot cornbread. We had 16 door prizes of all sorts, 2 kid's packs, and the 50/50 drawing! Lots of new faces and returning of old friends in freshly washed cars. All cars were received with the finished line checkered flag. What fun!

Our next car show will be Dec. 19 with a Wassailing Party, more door prizes, and everyone will receive a donated mystery gift. More on the Wassailing Party in next notice. Until then, remember there is something for everyone. See you then!
Gen Rummy
--------------------
The 50-50 was operated by Earl Baker who brought Debbie Baker in their 1950 Ford.
After door prize bags were given out, all tickets were put back in the container, shuffled and the 50/50 ticket was drawn. The pot was won by Joe Avanzato who donated $5 to the club, and thanks to all donations we collected $33 which brought a total $109 into the KMC treasury. This is the public acknowledgement at post # 316 in the Keystone newsletter: Bob Vail is voluntarily holding the total amount of $109 for the club.
----------------

Pictures from Photographer Isabella Bradley will be emailed out in a few days once I figure how to do that (the email list is long) as well as pics going into the Keystone History.
--------------
Should we be adding more advance notices to our meetings as a planning tool?
Advance notice:
We will be starting the New Years day Intercoastal tour from Sunset Park, Tarpon Springs
(A straight shot to the West from Odessa) and taking some back roads alongside the Intercoastal
waterway to Madiera Beach, St Pete.
We will have printed directions for each participant and we will need a tour leader to step up
as KTM (Keystone Tour Master) for the day.

-----------------
Advance notice:
Coming to December 19 Keystone meet and greet, there will be Christmas Wassailing with live entertainment, Christmas mystery gifts, Door prizes, 50/50 etc.
----------------
Social distance with us, drive through and beep your horn, or back in, open your hood
and hang out for a while.

Default Following the DEC 17 meeting part 1

First a bit of music....
Those Oldies But Goodies Remind Me Of You.......

They're playing our song....and they will always play our song......
in that time machine we always wanted to drive, back in high school.
-----------------------------
Thinking philosophically again.....
Like the tree that falls in the forest without an ear to hear the sound,
we still hear the music...even when our radio is no longer on.....and we remember....and we once again have that 3rd Saturday urge pulling us to just drive by Keystone again and see who's there. And the time we spent there...and the friendships we made.... these are the best of times..........
Here's a short movie I thought you might enjoy about long term friends:
----------------------------------------------------
----------------------------------------------------
Congratulations to Amy Clark whose pictures of cars and other things have
passed 8 MILLION views. I saw her take that first picture at a Sanford car show years ago.
-----------------------------------
Thank you to WayneReisRealtor@gmail.com, Frank Salerno, Renee Martoglio,
and others who brought donuts and home made cookies. Danni Wells supplied
two kinds of coffee. Thank you, folks.
-----------------------------------
For the JAN 21 2023 Chili Cook Off, I have been informed that Frank Salerno has entered, and defending Champion from 2022, Mechiel Kalbach is returning. Plus we had two people verbally commit at the Nov 17 meeting, and a 5th person entered Monday night late...and I'm thinking that I need to get more and bigger trophies.
----------------------------------
Elvis had a reindeer tow his '57 Chevy over, (picture below) to endorse the JAN 21 2023 Chili Cook Off.....Elvis, you ol' hound dog,...Thanka thanka vera mush...I'm not gonna bug you for an autograph this year.....maybe. Lol -Bob
----------------------------------
Chili Cook Off....
Hosted by Keystone Motor Club. No entry fees for Chili Cook Off entrants and open to all. 930AM early roll in. 16921 Gunn Hwy 33556 Odessa/Tampa/Keystone.
Email Bobfixesitup@yahoo.com or 813-839-4281
Buying two or more $1 red 50/50 tickets allows you as a judge to sample each chili entered in the Chili Cook Off from each contestant. Voting slips will be passed out at that time. One of our judges names will be randomly drawn from the barrel and paid from the 50/50.
Breakfast Chili, Lunch Chili, Chili as soon as you arrive....WOO HOO!

Just show your red tickets to each Chili Cook Off Contestant for your samples. Sweet, savory, mild, hot or wild, we want to try YOUR championship chili recipe. Will you be the next chili champion at Keystone Motor Club? Top vote getters of all cook off entrants will be awarded a 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place tall trophy and the coveted chili cook off champion necklace for 2023…plus accompanying Fame and Fortune, Movie Rights & Book Deals! LOL!

AND>>>>today I acquired a very nice decorated Black Mexican Sombrero (like in the Cisco Kid TV show or the 3 Amigos Movie) for the First Place Winner! You are going to be the Bad News Bear now! LOL ! LOL !

Next question is.....If you entered, what would you call your Chili Cook Off Team?
If you wanted to, that is. Email me....bobfixesitup@yahoo.com.

Danni has bought more bowls and we have spoons... Hope no one minds that we have some donated napkins with Tampa Bay Bucs on them.
----------------------------------
And you can bring your kids to say Hi! to Louie, The REAL Yellow Bird.....No joke. He's in the front window. If you noticed the leaves were blown away and the grass was trimmed, thank Lorie of Yellow Bird Studios. She is making the grounds look nice....since your show car makes the parking lot look nice.
----------------------------------Bob

Want to see the Rolling Stones? Sorta....
March 11, 2023 is now our 70th Anniversary Celebration with Rolling Stones Tribute
Sarasota Classic Car Museum <info@sarasotacarmuseum.org>
https://www.tamparacing.com/forums/o...ml#post9447039
------------------------------------------------------------
On Facebook's "Keystone Motor Car Club", (over 180 members)... Dan and Gail Holsen posted a picture of the visiting Oldsmobile Car Club....12 people and the dog, by gosh!
Their Olds-usual meeting place is Oldsmar...named after guess who? Some of them had that look that said
"I'm coming back JAN 21 and I'm going to eat some of that Cook Off Chili !" lol

A few OLDS people who signed in were Dave Schmitt, Don Miller, Pat Higgins, Sylvie Neverkin, Rick Whissel and Jim Black. Some of the cars were Christmas-decorated! Not all signed in. Those who signed in were eligible to win the club participation award of $56 (this time) Last month we paid out $79., a couple gift certificates and Best Of Show Trophy.
-------------------------------
Any time another car club drives over, we give them a few moments to promote their
club, promote their next event, and pretty much anything they want to, in addition to placing flyers on the seat of every car in the lot. We hope your club event makes some money for
you ! We do this also for clubs of Corvettes, Mustangs. and ALL car clubs. Early roll in is 930AM. 16921 Gunn Hwy 33556 Odessa/Tampa/Keystone at Yellow Bird Studios Parking lot.
--------------------------------
Frank Salerno had the nicest huge RED Christmas wreath on the hood of his white Porsche 911. He said he would not drive over 70 with it on the hood. Was that a promise, Frank?
He also had some very tiny Christmas lights around the inside windshield....nice.
--------------------------------
Kurt and Mechiel Kalbach rode their Ultra Classic and Street Glide motorcycles over.
-------------------------------
38 people signed in and about 60-80 people just came in to hang out with friends.
I asked one person what he drove over. He says: "Oh, I didn't bring a car. I just drove the Jeep"
I said: "Well buddy, if it's got a motor, this is the Keystone Motor Club and YOU ARE IN!"
