why don't you just say your asking price is $19k or so, you want 6 +13, xxx , "take over payments" doesn't exist unless you're going to hold the loan in your name.

Take over payments DOES exist...it's called assuming an existing loan, and most banks will allow this, as long as the "new" owner qualifies.

its not taking over, its getting a new loan in your name....so its just getting financed and buying the car, its not "taking over payments"....theres no such thing....

Yes, taking over payments does mean you put the loan in YOUR NAME....but the original terms of the loan remain the same. It's also called "assuming a loan". IT is different than getting a loan on your own.

most banks won't allow it, anyhow, you would still have to qualify for the exact loan amount. how much are the payments anway ? $500 ?

i'm 18...the car is fully in my name and i had 0 credit...i pay $417 as of now...
