2002 Subaru Impreza WRX
That can't be too far off. It has nearly a quarter MILLION miles on it.... It looks good for the mileage but why pay $5K or $6k for this when you can get one with less than half the mileage for $3k or $4k more? It's not like this is a civic where parts are super cheap any easy to get.

thank you! you can barly get an older RS chassis for that.
that bugeye could sell easily 9k+ on nasioc.
subaru people are a completely diffrent breed of people.
they dont lowball, they understand the value.
my DD truck has 339,000 and i can sell it for 3.8K on toyotanation.
Show me another WRX with 200k+ miles? At nearly 240k miles over 6 model years, this car has averaged nearly 40k miles per year. That is a huge amount of miles in one year. In a few years we will see cars with this kind of mileage, but not many now.
Oh, and NO WHERE did I say that you were likely to find 3-4k WRXs. Reread what I posted. +
So what you are saying is that the people on NASIOC and Toyotanation are stupid?
The only way anyone would pay that amount for this car is if it had a kilo of cocaine in it.

Why pay $7.5k when you can get several here? Asking prices around $9.5k are likely to be sold for under $9k....
At this point, this is just crapping on the thread and I won't post here any more unless I'm baited. But who is doing worse to the OP? Me who is posting saying to ask a reasonable price? Or those telling the OP to sell the car for $7.5k when that is completely unrealistic?

Yes, I can read and did read the entire post. Let's assume that the new motor was in great condition when it was pulled and the swap was done correctly. The chassis still has ~240k miles on it. The bushings, the interior, the transmission, the differentials, etc also have nearly 240k miles. Why does it matter? Because everything degrades with use. Interior panels begin squeaking, power window motors break, etc. How much it degrades remains to be seen. Subaru is certainly one of the most reliable marques out there but those are seriously high miles.
This will be my last post in this thread. IMO the car looks good and will certainly make a nice vehicle for someone. I wouldn't be scared of the miles with a through PPI. Good luck to the seller...
