Default Wanted: 5-speed manual shifter assembly for 1986 Mitsubishi Cordia L (non-turbo)

I saw posts about the Mitsubishi Cordia and thought perhaps someone could help me. I need some help from Cordia owners or those experienced in repairing Cordias somewhere out there. Perhaps you can help a fellow Cordia owner in New Jersey. I am an original owner of a 1986 Mitsubishi Cordia L (non-turbo) with a 5-speed. It has about 156,000 miles and just keeps on going.

However, I am looking for a new or used 5-speed shifter assembly to replace the one that is ready to fall off! I stopped driving my Cordia when the gearshift was dropping several inches down. My mechanic said that the shifter assembly needs to be replaced. I basically need everything from the gearshift knob all the way to whatever bolts on the transmission, including the two linkages. Do you have any recommendations where I can find this part(s)? Any e-mail addresses and/or websites would be appreciated. I am not finding it in any of the parts stores or junkyards that I have contacted thus far in the USA.

A key question: Are there other Mitsubishi models that share this 5-speed shifter assembly (gearbox)? I understand that the Mitsubishi Tredia is the mechanical twin to a Cordia - sort of the 4-door version. I know that the Mitsubishi Cordia and Tredia were imported into the USA from about 1984-1988. Are there any other Mitsubishi models that share this part? Are there any other makes (like Hyundai which uses some Mitsubishi parts) that can be used to search for this part?

Also, would the parts that I am looking for are different if they are from a Cordia turbo (different engine) or if they are from a Cordia non-turbo? Your help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance for your time.
