FT/FS: Satin Black Jetta with Roofrack
FT/FS: Satin Black Jetta with Roofrack
I am looking to trade or even sell my ole' V-Dub
I have been driving it as my daily for the fuel (36 mpg) but now that's a major factor for me and so I figured maybe someone else needs those cheap miles!
Car is basically stock 2.0L, auto tranny, aftermarket cd player, 2 -12"s in the trunk (probably stay with car depending on trade)
Goods:
Rebuilt transmission placed in car 18k ago ($1250)
When tranny was replaced so were all engine gaskets (oil pan up to cam seals)
New plugs/wires/air filter
When tranny and motor were out all timing components were replaced as well
Front tires are brand new
Both rear wheel bearings, seals and races replaced
New outer tie rod ends
Just been aligned
A/C blows ice cold
Fresh satin black paint job
Thule roofrack (originally for MKI but has been retrofitted for my MKIII)
Side molding has been replaced with real stained wood and looks killer, could use some more wood accents to help tie it in but it gets lots of compliments
36 mpg
Bads:
Speedo went out around 1 month ago
Stupid VW seatbelt light stays on when driving (there is a fix that you do with wiring underseat but it doesnt bother me that much)
Left front fender is a little wavy
Just left of rear window there is a small dent
Other than noted the only "downfall" in my opinion is a push button start on the dash, has been there since I got the car years ago, You might not mind it...

Yeah that would make it nicer but then my wife couldn't drive it...so we just put a rebuilt transmission it.
