F/S 1993 Honda Prelude SI
F/S 1993 Honda Prelude SI
Selling my 93 Honda Prelude SI.
It has an H23 engine and I was told when I bought it an H22 head. Truthfully, I do not know the difference.
There are a few problems with the car, none with the engine however.
1. The windshield is messed up pretty bad, it needs to be replaced. I got a quote from Safelite for $250. It will be an extra $150 if you want to replace the molding around the windshield, which is starting to crack.
2. There is a noticeable dent on the rear driver side. I did not get a quote to fix that.
3. The exhaust pipe that extends from the muffler needs to be replaced, should be a cheap fix.
4. The sunroof is rusting in a few spots. I've seen this on a couple of preludes I don't know why it happens. It does not leak and it opens and closes fine.
Now, about the car itself.
It's black. 17" black rims are on it. They came with it. I replaced the entire carpet three days ago ($160). I replaced the accelerator cable when I bought the car about two months ago ($40). The interior is in good condition. It could use a paint job. It has a body kit on it and I believe aftermarket headlights and rear lights.
I have not been driving it since I got it because I need to buy a license plate, insure it, and fix the windshield. It runs fine, I drove it for an hour before I bought it and I have been starting it up every other day.
Why do I want to sell it?
I am financially drained from Christmas and it would take me at least $800 to be able to get the car on the road ($400 for the windshield to be replaced and $400 between a license plate and insurance, it would cost me this much because it would be my first license plate purchased). I have had the car almost two months and I have not been able to get any use of it. I have decided to instead save my money and hopefully get back out of the car what I put into it ($1850). I am asking $2000, but that's negotiable.
