Looking for a new car: Stick shift (READ MORE PLEASE!)
Thank you for being so tactful first of all. Secondly, i'm just in a search for something that aint gonna scare the girls away, some space for books/friends/subs? Whatever. I want something with low maintenance, good mpg 25 or so city and decently quick (Oh rlly?). Yeah. So, is it a better idea for me to drive a American make while im in the USA? Also, should I buy it from a dealer or privately? Just general questions for someone who is mediocre at car knowledge, but has no experience buying a car. I'm sure you guys have been there? So what did you learn when you where buying your first car..? Comon THINK

I drove a Pontiac grand prix supercharged anniversary model (2002?) for about 3 years and a Dodge Ram truck (2004?). Both automatics, totaled the Pontiac.. :/
I need to start supporting myself and my first major step is buying my own car..

I buy cars privately but also have back up money for maintenance... in that price range(3000) and IMO i would look for a older toyota truck with a 22re.. best truck and motor bar none.. but thats my opinion.
I have owned over 100 cars so i kinda know what to look for.
The best thing you could do is find a car in you price range that you like and before you buy it google search it .. the internet is the most useful too in the world when it comes to information.
again good luck with your search.

I am computer talented. Thanks for the advice anyways. I think I need to see a financial adviser. Need to know how much I SHOULD spend with the money I have saved.
100 cars? I feel like I may never own that many cars :O
