Default Tom Edwards = gay

took my car is for busted CV BOOTS ( not axles ). They told me that they could not warrenty any of it b/c I have acloy injection and a JLM motormount ( which I ONLY bought to SAVE the axles ).

What it comes down to is that they didn't wanna do a messy job and get paid "warrenty pay" to do it. Warrenty pays a lower labor rate, and offers little profit on parts ( for dealers ). Its a greasey job and they just didn't wanna do it.

BTW. The car has 14K miles on it. MOPAR S2 and exhaust... No suspension mods at all...

I guess you have to be rich to get dodges warrentied, at least at Tom Edwards in Bartow...

Take it to a different dealership in lakeland area you're suppose to be able to get your dodge services under warranty at any dodge dealer. BTW what color is your srt4? I live in lakeland and have a srt4 as well.

Red, I work at publix, but since I'm not rich, I don't get special treatment...

Take it to another dealership and don't wear your publix monkey suit. If you find a dealer that helps you out, stick with them. Prob wouldn't hurt if you threw the service advisor or the tech, whomever helped you out most, a few bucks for being cool.

What does a motor mount ( which SAVES CV axles ) and a alcoy injection ( basiclly like using 100 oct. ) have to do with the BOOTs on the CV axles ?

That's like saying they won't warrenty a steering wheel b/c of aftermarket wheels...

It leads them to think the car isnt being driven "properly"..as in racing etc. etc.

Plus the fact the the mounts are related to the transfer of power from the engine through the CV's to the wheels means they can try to say the mounts caused it. And the Alky injection definately doesn't help since it makes it seem the car is driven hard since you have that. Mods=No Warranty is how it's starting to be at most places.

I just got my passenger side axle replaced under warranty . Try Bob Wilson , I'd put your stock mount back on ...

You dont want to gie them any reason to void your warranty / not do the work
