The fact that you have some sort of little man complex because you're motor isn't as big as mine? The fact that a lot of the Honda nut swingers put the GSR on a pedestal while domestic owners see the Roadmaster as a comfortable way to get to church on Sunday? Go out to the races this weekend (I'm sure you do), tell me how many GSR's you see, now Sunday morning, go cruise through the church parking lots, bingo halls, and mobile home parks and tell me how many Roadmasters you see, yet they are faster, yep, that's fucking hilarious!!

I agree with what your saying but you would get SPANKED on any track besides a perfectly straight one.

That list has its inconsistancy's.

1996 Acura Integra GS-R 7.1 15.5
2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V 7.3 15.6

A healthy well driven specV can put down 14.9-15.3 Most people realize mid 15's stock, so i'll move on. GS-R is a good example for this because I've yet to be pulled on by one, yet the #'s above show otherwise. I'm really not sure what a properly driven GS-R will actually put down. Anyone? Also specV has LSD, more HP and TQ... Just doesn't make sense.

another example? How about this-

1999 Honda Civic Si 7.2 15.7
2003 Nissan Sentra SE-R Spec V 7.3 15.6

have you any idea what a specV will do to a civic SI? A lot more then .1 unless that stands for one bus length.

Those #'s are from the back of car and driver, which i've never fully agreed with much of anything they say anyways.

I call partial-shenanigans!

Doesnt the se-r spec-v have as same amount of hp as the Si? Isnt the Si a coupe? Isnt the spec-v a sedan? I have an all stock Si and I walk any stock spec-v. The same goes w/ a Gsr, it has LSD (1996+ anyways) and Im pretty sure it has more hp and tq also.

specV is rated at 175hp 180tq factory. 6spd, LSD.

they dyno about 150hp 160tq to the wheels stock.

i call mega on you walking a specV in a SI

Hmmm...

1991 Mazda Miata 9.1 16.7
1.6L N/A (Mazda B6 motor)
Rated @ 105 HP
2250lbs

1991 Mercury Capri XR2 8.3 16.3
1.6L Turbo (Mazda B6 motor with a turbo)
Rated @ 131 HP with stock setting of 6 psi boost
2450lbs

Does that seem right? 30+% more HP and only .4 faster?

You're comparing apples and oranges. One car is RWD, one is FWD. A FWD car should lose less power in the drivetrain, so that would give the Capri a slight advantage if the driver was capable of putting the power to the ground, but then the Capri is 200 pounds heavier which would not only even up the field, but probably put things in the Miata's favor at that point. Then you have to forget about the percentage of power increase and look at the actual numbers, the Capri only has 26 more horsepower, yet it weighs 200 pounds more and still runs 4 tenths quicker? That's actually pretty remarkable

the v-6 accord is the fastest honda (besides the 2000)

the E55 time seems a little slow

thats because some 87 year old geriatric from car and driver drove all these cars for the times listed. Even a Honda driver could lay down better times on like 80% of the cars listed.
