for posting in the newsletter in case not everyone already knows the location or time to meet.

This is approximately Jan's reply and a few suggestions:

For the July 20 meeting:
The Winn Dixie is 17649 Gunn Hwy in Odessa; SE corner of Gunn Hwy and Van Dyke Rd. We meet usually from 10AM-12 although we tend to break up by 11:30. We meet on the far east side of the parking lot as it is shady. Most folks have been there numerous times.

Joanne Pistorius and her husband are coordinating the Gasparilla Concurs d ’Elegance in April of 2020 and are recruiting people to help out.
They may want to come long enough to pitch it.......... which could be a “program” of sorts.

Beyond that we need to ask pointed questions as:
1.“ Since it was agreed we would like to continue the Keystone Motor Club, who is willing to invest their time?”,

2.What can we do to expand the participation,...... understanding it is summer. OR…….

3.Which member/members want to research combining ourselves with a more established club understanding there may be different timing, perhaps dues, etc.?

4.We need to access the commitment level. It is entirely possible that the club could fold or merge.

5.Any member can bring their suggestions and/or solutions to be aired out at the meeting.

This ends approximately what Jan told me.

Folks, These are some of my thoughts......
The best way to get as many solutions/suggestions is for people to just say what they have on their mind,
with no one passing judgements/approvals/disapprovals, so we can write down any and all ideas to start with.

I will bring a pad to write them down.

Once we have as many of our ideas as we can, written down , we can go back through and discuss the pros and cons of the ideas
The important things are:

1.To get as many ideas as we can so that no one is left out........that is the best way to get ideas.

2.People who have an idea or are inspired by the ideas of others will be able to present them.

3.People who don't show up for the meeting can also post their ideas/suggestions in this newsletter.

People who don't present any idea, either by posting in the newsletter, or by bringing up the idea in person
will not have given other members the benefit of their idea, and will not be able to be heard.

People who don't/won't offer their ideas or wisdom after being given the opportunity,....... will be free to complain later on
with no positive results........

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend the next meeting on July, 20th, as I will be out of town. As far as suggestions go, I would like to see the club promote some "driving tours" as events everyone could participate in and enjoy. The club membership is diverse in terms of vehicles, with many different brands represented. This is a positive and a negative situation in that there can be no specific focus on one particular brand. That puts the impetus on the social aspect wherein activities that all members can take part in should be the primary focus. A committee could be set up to explore and arrange Driving Tours to various points of interest (automotive related or not) in the Tampa Bay Area. I would be willing to serve on such a committee, should the membership want to pursue that option.

We can add that to our list of suggestions to be talked about on July 20.
My British car club has a New Years day tour that ended this year at a restaurant...last time we drove up some roads that ran along the beach.
It was neat to see spectators taking pictures and waving as we went by.

Maybe some of the backroad tour maps that I have can be contributed... or looked over, as a way to generate ideas.
There are a ton of parks with pavillions and shade to share a covered dish...wondering if anyone has a simple-to-plug in electric grill....?
Wondering if members prefer just a friendly drive, and maybe combine it with the monthly meeting...?

Any member can suggest a place or two to drive to and maybe a side activity, a meeting, someone else's car show, etc. Since the club is going to be run by our members, maybe we can find an separate person each meeting to be tour leader for a day...and pick some target dates to make it happen.

and I know other people will have better ideas than me
We are going to write them all down first and then go back over them for discussion.
