Solution for fire ant bites....first aid tip.
When fire ants bite you, they bend over and spit digestive juices into the wound.
It forms a "pimple" that forms a lump/welt, gets infected and takes forever to heal.....if it ever does.

Car guys keep Brake Clean on hand...

When they bit me working in the yard, I scraped away the pimple first. It bled a bit.
I then sprayed the wounds with Walmart brake clean. It disinfected the wound and brake clean
always dries your skin. Don't get it in your eyes or wash it out with a lot of water.

Burned for a bit....briefly. Kept wiping off the blood until it dried over.
It now has a thin scab over it and the healing process has begun.
I may be applying Neosporin or an aloe plant next... to speed up the healing

Had I done nothing, the ant bites would still be there.

We started on January 16 2021 as people did an early roll in at 930AM

The Keystone Motor Club rang in the New Year, 2021, with a “Virtural Video Party.' A rough estimate was over 36 cars and 65 people in attendance. This record only topped our Christmas Party by a few more cars bringing their friends with them. The 50/50 winner received $36. We had a variety of door prizes including extra videos for the winners. Everyone who participated had a good time with GI Coffee, hot tea, cookies and popcorn.

We had several videos for the silent auction including Hot Rod Girl, T-Bird Gang, James Dean-live Fast Die Young, Riding in Cars With Boys, Starski and Hutch, Kart Racing, Nascar Racing, several collectible Fast and Furious editions, and bunches of others.

At 11AM, we began acknowledging a few people who make things work within Keystone Motor Club.
Alan Mevorah operates the 50/50. Before the meeting, Milt Roorda places signs every month for our meeting. Vic Piano performed entertainingly as Guest Master of Ceremonies (GMC even though he drove a Ford). Isabella Bradley is the club photographer and cares for Keystone Motor Club's Facebook page. Her photos appear on post #'s 317 thru 323 of this newsletter. Gen Rummy is in charge of every WOK/Women of Keystone project, plus edits and prints the club history, plus the pass-out notices for car shows, and I am greatful for the help.

Keystone currently needs someone as an Essential Sign-in Person (ESP) and we need

a flag person to wave in cars as they roll in.

KMC has an amnesty suggestion program, and people can send in a suggestion by email
anonomously if they don't want their name attached to it.

Rachel Amber Duffen was recognized as the person in charge of the Connerton Elementary
school Cars and Champions show coming up in Land O Lakes on February 13 2021.

We drew tickets for door prizes that included $5 gift cards for Starbucks and more from Amazon, detailing supplies, wash mitts, $30 Yeti Cups, calendars,....and with every door prize we added in at least two randomly pulled video DVD's from the basket.

Thanks to all donations we collected $40 which brought a total $186 into the KMC treasury
as of January 16 2021. This is the public acknowledgement at post # 348 in the Keystone newsletter: Bob Vail is voluntarily holding the total amount of $186 for the club.

We had guaranteed $25 payout for the 50/50, and the winner got $36.

Everyone who attends the February meeting will received a “Homemade Valetine from Gen Rummy. Understand this will be no ordinary Valentine, but a rare, really rare edition of humorous puns and hilarious sayings. So, come for your copy and and enjoy our treats of Hot tea, Hot GI coffee, Winn Dixie cookies, plus candy will be provided by the WOK-Women of Keystone.

1. Keystone has some donated Music CD's for some
gentle, period correct background music during our car show.
But nothing loud that would offend anyone.

2. The minor bad news is that we need a means to play the music.
We have a couple small combination CD/radio players....
...but they are broken, unfortunately.


What we need:

We need a working small CD musical disc player that will work with BATTERIES.
Why batteries? Because there's no electricity in the parking lot. Surprise!

We have no electrical outlet to plug into.

We don't mind picking it up and we don't mind blowing the dust off of it.

Chem-Dip has phosphoric acid in it... That's why the 4 hour limit on soaking aluminum parts. Unless you want to etch or destroy thin aluminum part sections. Always wash Chem-Dip off with water to dilute and remove it from the surface. It will continue to eat aluminum surfaces if just wiped off.
