Every 3rd Saturday...Having a Roll-out to Keystone Motor Club car show.

Some car clubs plus individuals will meet (across from Sickles High School) at Walgreens Pharmacy 7925 Gunn Hwy and Sheldon Road 33626 then to arrive as a group, we promptly leave Walgreens at 915AM. Join us! Collect up your car club here and impress the heck out of everyone when you arrive as a larger group.

What Keystone Motor Club did on June 19 2021 Several cars arrived before I got there at 930AM....again.....one was Jim Marrone,
known for putting on the Mopar shows at Don Garlits Museum.

For me things are a blur from that day...lots going on.
We need another person to volunteer helping out every now and then.
(Everyone reading that just now took two steps back.... groan.... lol )

Sam Perrone brought over his immaculate 1934 3 Window and I got his autograph on
the cover since he was in the centerfold pages 12 & 13 of Motoring Tampa Bay Magazine.
I'm starting to collect autographed copies of Keystone Members who have been featured in car publications.

I got Sam Perrone and me in a selfie....I look better when Sam takes the pictures. lol
Sam's car is also on the first cover page for our upcoming addition to Isabella's original Facebook page....details "coming soon" about The Keystone Members Group Page. Dan and Gail Holsen took 75+ pictures to kick off the page. Send a like to your picture or someone else's. We are giving a Keystone Thank You to Team Holsen. Send them a Like when you see them folks! We may soon have pictures of our drawing prize winners and trophy winners on Facebook's members group page plus cars cars cars!

We gave out Best of Show trophies for the Herb and Carol Wagner Memorial Car Show and the winner could choose a Blue and Gold trophy or a Gold and Blue trophy......so we gave out ONE OF EACH BEST OF SHOW TROPHIES.....for the totally free No Entry Fee car show.
Not everyone signed in but 47 people did. When we have 60 cars entered in the no entry fee
cars show, we break out the 3 foot tall trophies!

May was Ladies Day so June was Man Cave Day. (We did not call it Father's day) We gave away some $25+ collectible books for your man cave coffee table or whatever you call that thing in the middle of the floor, plus some wall hangings made from bottles, some collectible T-shirts from Florida Car Shows.com, plus a hat when one winner said: "I want a hat!" ok ok ok.....you got it. Pick your prize off the table. We were giving away some stuff!

We are still giving out two BBQ sandwiches from Mission BBQ, to each member of your family, so see Bob for details.
June 19 was The Keystone Motor Club meeting and the deadline where you could have won one Weber Heavy Duty BBQ smoker. We said there would be ONE, but ONE was "won" by EACH of four people....one of them from Lakeland. We are glad to see out-of-towners stopping by.

Door prizes for the drawings were supposed to be looked at when people came in, so they knew what they wanted when their name was called, but most people headed for the refreshments table sponsored by the WOK/Women of Keystone and forgot everything else.
A Keystone Thank You to Gen for setting that up.

Grand Prize was a Guaranteed For Life Snap-On brand flashlight, part number 92150, in the unopened package. Everything we give away is worth more than a dollar. The 50/50 guaranteed $25 but paid out $51 to the winner. We have some expensive door prizes coming up soon... details later.....

July 17 2021 at Keystone motor Club was the start of a Star Spangled Summer!
It was a great day! The most fun car show ever!

I got such an early start, I did not see your email until now, as I'm doing the audit work for
the Keystone Car Show.

First, A little period correct music with cars "similar" to Keystone Members cars (wink)

Even though we went head to head with Dupont hours wise, they ran out of parking spaces...
and people came to our show instead. : ) lucky break there.... lol
Their hangout cruise-in paid out nothing. We gave away some stuff.
It was estimated we had, 51 cars, one motorcycle and about 80 people attended......
people come to our show to have a good time and not everybody signed in.

We gave out a bunch of "Beach Day" door prizes, we guaranteed to pay $25 in the
50/50, but actually paid $49 to the winner......it's usually $50. Vic Piano operated the 50/50
AND It was Beach Day! You could get your picture taken AT THE BEACH without having to GO to the beach.
We had a member even bring us a jar of SAND! lol

Dick Peterson assisted Gen at the WOK/Women of Keystone table.
Ken Egli made a donation to the club. Christian Hot Rod Association made a donation to the club.
Jay Burkette autographed his 1957 356 Porsche Speedster picture in Motoring Tampa Bay Magazine.

Keystone founders, Sam and Carol Prentice stopped by for a visit and we are always glad to see them.
Mark Duetsche promised to send me some pictures which he took.

We gave away a July 4 Patriotic themed beautifully sculpted Eagle Trophy for the Herb and Carol Wagner Memorial Car Show and there was NO ENTRY FEE! Renee Martoglio assisted with trophy presentation. A few other ladies flagged people in as they arrived. I missed the name of the lady who drew tickets for door prizes.


When I told my 3 legged chicken Joke Bob Carter said: It wasn't me! lol
Several Corvettes set up their own car club tent.....a bit of class there....not a bad idea.
We gave away collectible numbered car-type refrigerator magnets.....still have a few left......email back if you want some past ones at the next KMC meeting.

We gave away two Mission BBQ sandwiches to people who had not signed up yet....details from Bob
Keystone gave out the info for a daily hot dog from Thornton's between July 15 until 21 July and the procedure for 6 cents to 20 cents off the regular Thornton's gas prices.....details from Bob. Bob Perry....Isabella Bradley drew tickets......we gave away a power inverter.....Next time it will be a smart watch as grand prize....while still guaranteeing minimum $25 payout in the 50/50.
and we were gone by noon before it got really hot.

August 21 Keystone Motor Club featured Unlimited Root Beer Floats at our favorite Winn Dixie 17649 Gunn Hwy in Odessa/Tampa; Gunn Hwy and Van Dyke Rd.
Things went really quick, so we could beat the heat and leave early by 12:45.

Gen made Root Beer floats or you could make your own. We went back into Winn Dixie
when we ran low, to get more supplies and it pays to meet in their parking lot.

Dick Peterson helped with sign-ins for the NO ENTRY FEE CAR SHOW.
When we got around to awarding Trophies, Best of Show winners could choose between endless full gas tanks or endless burnouts......as symbolized by one trophy being mounted to the side an old fashioned Pump-it-yourself gas pump, and the other being mounted to the side: one of Henry Ford's finest automobiles.

For the Herb and Carol Memorial Car Show, Joe Avanzato won Best of Show with his Aluminum body Jaguar and picked the endless full Gas Tanks trophy.
Holly Lee won Best of Show with her Yellow Dodge T/A and picked the endless burnouts trophy.
Keystone paid out $26 to the winner of the 50/50. The grand prizes were a plug-into-your-cigarette-lighter voltage converter (from 12 volts to 110 volts), and a smart watch.

Congratulations to John and Carol Berti
of Land O Lakes. Their Blue 72 Corvette is on both the outside and the inside cover of August 2021 Motoring Tampa Bay Magazine.

Congratulations to Keystone's Rickster! His rare 63 Ford Falcon Ranchero will be on the inside cover
and front cover of September 2021's Motoring Tampa Bay. He also just won Peoples Choice at the River Church Show.

We will have some extra magazines to be autographed at the WOK/Women of Keystone table at the next Keystone Motor Club
meeting on September 18.

Unrelated story but welcome, was Holly Lee and Speedy Lee bringing a few friends,
and Holly assisting Gen by flagging people in as they drove up. More people are bringing friends. Maybe they figured out that bringing people increases the odds of you and your friends winning something. Drawings were assisted by Gail Holsen and Isabella Bradley.
