Florida Concealed Weapon Carry Question
Florida Concealed Weapon Carry Question
I am debating with my brother about something specific.....maybe one of you guys could help.
Fact; The State of Florida does not keep records of guns serial numbers and owners names etc (without concealed permit).
Question of debate; Does a FL concealed weapons permit holder have to register or serialize pistols that are carried on the person with the state??
so......say I own 6 guns.......I have a Fl concealed weapons permit....am I mandated to serialize all in my possesion?? so if I buy a gun and carry it concealed legally and get stopped...and the gun I am carrying is not registered to me to carry on my person with the stae.......am I in violation?
my bro says yes...if you carry it on you....it needs to be serialized with your carry permit.....
I say bullshit....

like Chris said. you get the permit for yourself, not for your weapon.

Ya, I've toyed with the idea before. I've got lots of friends/family in law enforcement, and they all told me you just get your permit for YOU.
